altM
Turning agricultural residue into bio-materials and bio-chemicals — replacing fossil feedstock and giving farmers a new income stream.

About altM
altM converts crop residue — the stalks, husks and biomass that are otherwise burned across north India every winter — into sustainable feedstock for the chemicals and materials industries. The model substitutes fossil-derived inputs in downstream supply chains while creating an organised offtake for farmers who otherwise have no good option for their residue. altM sits at the intersection of climate, agriculture and industrial chemistry, with each ton of residue diverted from burning translating into measurable emission savings and rural income.
