ACT For Health

Bridging the accessibility and affordability gap in public healthcare across primary care, NCDs, TB and mental health.

A ₹100 Cr fund seeding digital, medtech and deep-tech innovations across tele-medicine, health coverage, capacity building, diagnostic tests, devices and implants — designed for deployment inside India's public health system.

The Challenge

A system where patients are diagnosed too late — or not at all

According to a study by The Lancet, India ranks 145 among 195 countries on the quality and accessibility of healthcare — patients are either never diagnosed or diagnosed too late, with outcomes that compound across the rest of their lives.

Public awareness on health is patchy, basic healthcare facilities are often not accessible, and even when they are, the quality of care frequently sits well below global benchmarks. Quality medical care offered by private establishments is unaffordable for many, and the country has a limited number of healthcare workers available to serve a population this large.

The healthcare ecosystem in India is plagued with supply-side constraints — exactly the kind of constraints that disruptive, tech-led innovation can begin to address, making care more accessible and affordable for patients across the socio-economic spectrum.
